Job summary

Stanley Consultants in Texas is seeking an Architect to join our Architecture Practice. The role involves working with senior architects and mentoring junior staff, delivering design across planning, design, and construction for diverse projects.

You will collaborate with engineers, support campus planning, produce drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, and participate in construction phase services while meeting scope, schedule, and budget goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Texas Registered Architect and NCARB Certificate.
  • Strong AutoCAD and Revit skills.
  • Experience with Texas government and higher education design.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
  • LEED / Sustainability Accreditation.
  • Experience with US military planning and design, including UFC codes.
  • NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Serve in various roles within project teams; may support senior architect or lead on projects from inception through construction.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineers to support integrated building solutions.
  • Support planning and assessment efforts, including facility evaluations and campus planning.
  • Execute technical architectural tasks across project types including State/Government, Higher Education, Federal, Municipal, Institutional, Commercial, Healthcare, and Industrial.
  • Support design development with constructability and phasing considerations.
  • Conduct life safety analyses and code compliance reviews.
  • Prepare architectural construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Research and compile information for writing specifications.
  • Perform construction observation and prepare field reports.
  • Participate in construction phase services and coordinate with contractors; review submittals and RFIs.
  • Meet project objectives related to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Attend onsite and offsite client meetings.
  • Assist with technical problem solving related to existing facility constraints and coordination between building systems.

Role Overview

Stanley Consultants is currently seeking an Architect to join our growing Architecture Practice in the State of Texas. Our work often includes complex, multi-disciplinary projects such as institutional campuses, mission‑critical facilities, district energy systems, and central utility plants. This position requires exercising architectural judgment while executing design tasks within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

The successful candidate will work with senior architects and mentor junior staff members. This role offers exposure to technically challenging projects and the opportunity to develop skills across planning, design, and construction.

Responsibilities
  • Serving in a variety of roles within project teams: May support senior architect or serve as the architectural lead on projects from inception through construction.
  • Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineers to support integrated building and infrastructure solutions.
  • Supporting planning and assessment efforts, including facility evaluations and campus planning initiatives.
  • Executing technical architectural tasks across a variety of project types including State/Government, Higher Education, Federal, Municipal, Institutional, Commercial, Healthcare, and Industrial.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university. Master’s of Architecture is preferred, but not required.
  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a Texas Registered Architect and have a NCARB Certificate.
  • Strong AutoCAD and Revit skills.
  • Experience with Texas government and higher education design.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently, with understanding of interdisciplinary design and coordination.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
Additional Requirements
  • LEED / Sustainability Accreditation.
  • Experience with US military planning and design, including Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) codes and standards.
  • Interior design experience with NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certification.
