• At least 1 year of coaching in a school program.

• Recommend the purchase of equipment, supplies and uniforms as appropriate for the health, safety and welfare of students athletes.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

BASIC FUNCTION

Coach in various secondary school interscholastic athletic programs.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

• Promote sports in the schools and community.
• Plan the assigned athletic program.
• Organize and supervise practices.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

ABILITY TO:

• Assist coaches on one or more sports.

• Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate, a minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university and one year of experience coaching in a school athletic program.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Successful completion of any and all required training per board policy; including but limited: physical and emotional development of students, school’s discipline policies, procedures for dealing with discipline problems and safety and first aid training(CPR/AED certification), a clear criminal records check and follows all KHSAA guidelines and regulations.

EVALUATION

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of board policy for classified personnel.
