Accenture's Utilities Practice seeks a senior ArcGIS Utility Network Solution Architect to guide the transformation of legacy GIS to a modern, service‑oriented platform. You will define target workflows, governance, and integration patterns across electric and gas utilities.

As a functional leader, you will work with client teams and delivery groups to ensure architecture quality, alignment with enterprise objectives, and scalable GIS solutions from design through deployment.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of Utility Network concepts, topology, and governance patterns.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead solution architect and functional advisor for ArcGIS Utility Network implementation, guiding strategy, design, and integrations.

• Lead and advise on best practices for migrating from legacy network models to ArcGIS Utility Network.
• Translate electric and gas utility requirements into scalable GIS workflows and service-based solutions.
• Ensure GIS capabilities support end-to-end utility workflows, including planning, design, construction, and field operations.
• Provide functional leadership to delivery teams and ensure solution quality and continuity during migration.
• Establish rapid functional credibility with client stakeholders by sharing best practices and lessons learned.

Role Overview

The ArcGIS Utility Network Solution Architect will serve as the senior functional authority guiding our client team through the transformation of its legacy, geometric network–based GIS to ArcGIS Utility Network, applying industry best practices and proven implementation patterns. This role serves as the functional authority for defining the target Utility Network platform and guiding the transition from a database‑centric GIS environment to a modern, service‑oriented, web‑GIS platform.

The Solution Architect will provide hands‑on functional leadership across business processes, workflows, applications, services, integrations, and overall Business objectives, while ensuring alignment with client's enterprise architecture and utility operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead solution architect and functional advisor for the ArcGIS Utility Network implementation, guiding strategy, design, and integrations.

• Define the target Utility Network business processes, including work flows, applications, integrations, and governance patterns.

• Lead and advise on effective best practices for solutioning the migration from legacy network models (e.g., ArcGIS Geometric Network or custom models) to ArcGIS Utility Network.

• Translate electric and gas utility business requirements into scalable GIS workflows, processes, applications and service‑based solutions.

• Ensure GIS capabilities effectively support end‑to‑end utility workflows, including planning, design, construction, field operations, outage response, and asset management.

• Provide functional leadership to delivery teams and ensure solution quality, performance, and operational continuity throughout the migration.

• Establish rapid functional credibility with our client stakeholders by articulating best practices, risks, and lessons learned from comparable Utility Network implementations.

Leadership & Client Engagement

• Acts as a trusted advisor to both business and IT leadership.

• Leads workshops, design sessions, and executive briefings related to Utility Network strategy, architecture, and implementation.

• Owns and produces solution architecture and functional design artifacts, including architecture diagrams, service interaction models, and integration designs.
