Job summary

The American Academy of Ophthalmology invites a Vitreoretinal Surgeon to join a high-volume retina practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan, stepping into immediate patient volume as three senior surgeons retire. The role offers growth opportunities within a physician-led, research-focused environment and a strong referral network.

You will collaborate with subspecialists, participate in clinical trials, and access state-of-the-art technology and facilities.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited program.
• Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology Residency.
• Completion of a Vitreoretinal Fellowship.
• Active or eligible Michigan medical licensure.
• Strong vitreoretinal surgical skills.
• Interest in clinical research and collaboration.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
• Completion of an accredited MD or DO program
• Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology Residency and Vitreoretinal Fellowship
• Eligible for or active medical licensure in the state of Michigan
• Strong clinical and surgical skills in vitreoretinal procedures
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
• Interest in clinical research and collaboration preferred
