Job summary

The Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a Maintenance Helper to perform semi-skilled tasks in buildings, grounds, utilities, and sports fields. You will operate light equipment such as utility vehicles, tractors, mowers and trucks and assist with trades-level work.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and about three years of relevant maintenance experience; valid Arizona Driver's License. Some positions may require pesticides certification or Freon certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Approximately three years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License.
• Some positions may require Pesticide Applicator's License or Freon Certification.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, installs, repairs, replaces, and maintains structures and equipment.
• Operates light equipment and performs standard preventative maintenance.
• Prepares daily work orders and related paperwork.
• Removes/moves equipment, furniture, and boxed items as directed.
• Participates in grounds maintenance activities such as trimming and mowing.
• Assists in basic maintenance of classrooms, offices, and related areas.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
