Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader in Southampton, NY. Lead a tree care crew, perform pruning, removals, rigging, and related tasks safely and efficiently while mentoring teammates on site.

You’ll supervise crews, ensure training, and maintain equipment, with pay between $30.00 and $45.00 per hour and a strong safety culture. This is a regular full-time, outdoors role in a dynamic tree-care environment.

Qualifications

• At least three years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean DMV record; Class B CDL preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Proactive, team-oriented, self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Strong supervision and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising pruning, cabling/bracing, rigging, and removals.
• Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Supervising crews and ensuring training for each job assignment.
• Communicating with clients and building relationships on site.
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site.

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging

  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
