Bartlett Tree Experts in Owings, MD is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader to lead a tree care crew and perform arboriculture services safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional development within the Bartlett network.

Qualifications

• Passion for nature and outdoors.
• At least 3 years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform and supervise all aspects of arboriculture including pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, and removals.
• Maintain and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Lead and motivate crews, ensure training for each job assignment, and uphold industry standards.
• Communicate with clients and build relationships on site.

Responsibilities

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in:

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including:
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
