Ashland, MA-based Bartlett Tree Experts seeks an entry-level Arborist Climber Trainee to join our outdoor tree-care crew and gain hands-on training in arboriculture.

You will learn climbing, pruning, rigging, and safe operation of tools, with opportunities for advancement and a strong focus on safety and professional development.

Qualifications

Degree preferred but not required.
Valid driver's license required.
Interest in working outdoors year-round.

Rigging
Cabling and bracing
Removal of hazardous trees
Tree identification
Maintain and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts)
Implement work zone safety procedures
Assist Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders on ground and aloft
Assist with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties
On-the-job training to safely perform all aspects of arboriculture
Adhere to all safety rules and company policies

Valid driver's license
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team
Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, turf care, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required
Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture or a related field is preferred but not required
