Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is hiring an Arborist Climber to join our outdoor tree care crew in the Berks County area. You will climb trees and assist Arborist Crew Leaders with pruning, removals, cabling, and related tasks on residential and commercial properties.

A valid driver’s license and at least one year of climbing and aerial lift experience are required. We offer a safety-first culture, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement within Bartlett.

Qualifications

• One year of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Experience safely performing tree care tasks and using hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Commitment to safety rules and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of job assignments.
• Safely execute all aspects of arboriculture including tree identification, risk assessments, pruning, removals, cabling and bracing, and root collar excavations.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment and adhere to safety policies.
• Contribute to a safety-first culture and continuous learning.

As an Arborist Climber, you will play an important role in

• Performing ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by the Arborist Crew Leader
• Safely performing all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Tree identification
  • Tree risk assessments
  • Pruning
  • Removals
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Root collar excavations
  • Properly maintaining and operating tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety rules and company safety policies
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least one (1) year of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift operation experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
