Nelson-Jameson, Inc. and NEXT Logistics, LLC. in the Greater Milwaukee Area is seeking an AR Manager to lead the full order-to-cash process, supervise a team, and partner with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Accounting to optimize credit management and cash flow.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, strong internal controls, modernizing AR practices with Nuvo and ERP systems, and building KPI dashboards to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent.
• Experience: 5+ years in AR, credit, or collections in B2B environment.
• At least 2 years of supervisory/management experience leading AR/credit teams.
• Experience with credit limits, risk exposure, and complex collections.
• Process improvement or system implementation within AR/finance.
• Strong understanding of order-to-cash and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead AR team and develop capabilities.
• Oversee end-to-end order-to-cash, invoicing, billing, collections, and cash application.
• Manage Nuvo credit software, set limits, monitor exposure, train team.
• Track AR metrics: DSO, aging, collection effectiveness, cash forecasts.
• Assess creditworthiness and adjust terms to protect cash flow.
• Lead difficult credit conversations with Sales and Customer Service.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation in AR processes.
• Develop AR policies and escalation paths for GAAP/compliance.
• Prepare AR aging, bad debt analysis, dashboards for executives.
• Serve as primary AR contact during audits.
