Job summary

Daisy in New York seeks an Accounts Receivable Manager to lead the full AR cycle across a growing portfolio of buildings, ensuring accurate billing, cash application, and timely collections. You will design SOPs, drive aging improvements, and implement automation with AI to scale processes.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in AR, solid knowledge of NYC co-op/condo dynamics, data fluency, and strong written communication.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in accounts receivable, collections, or building/property accounting.
• Experience with NYC co-op/condo dynamics: charges vs maintenance, lien/arrears process.
• Fond of AR fundamentals: aging, cash application, reconciliation, write-offs.
• Ability to manage many books at once, each building with its own board and rules.
• Data fluency: pull data, question it, and build a narrative (Excel to BI tools).
• Clear, direct written communication; tone matters with residents and boards.

Responsibilities

• The full AR cycle across our portfolio: billing setup, invoicing, cash application, reconciliation, and month-end AR close
• Aging and collections: own aging report, follow-up cadence, and drive DSO and delinquency rates
• Delinquency escalation: late notices, payment plans, lien and legal referrals, coordination with counsel
• Resident and board communication on balances: clear, firm, and human interactions
• Board-facing arrears reporting: accurate, on-time picture of collections for every building
• Special assessments and one-off billing events: setup, communication, tracking, collection
• Bank, lockbox, and payment-processor reconciliation, and resolution of misapplied payments
• AR SOP library: current and actionable for new hires or offshore teammates
• Automation and AI: collaborate to replace manual dunning, reminders, reconciliations with tooling
• Controls and audit readiness: clear ownership, no surprises for auditors or boards
