Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks a senior mechanical engineer to lead design and analysis for AR glasses hardware. You will create 3D CAD and 2D drawings, develop assembly tools, and oversee prototyping in a fast-paced environment.

You will also document designs, perform reliability analysis, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to deliver robust solutions. You will engage with customers to ensure design intent and performance, follow security policies, and drive the success of AR products through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience required.
• Significant experience in 3D and 2D CAD systems; Siemens NX preferred.
• Experience with over molding methodologies and tool design.
• Experience with various manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, injection molding).
• Mechanical system analysis, design margin analysis, and custom tools for assembly/testing.

Responsibilities

• Design tool, parts, and systems across diverse industries and products.
• Perform thermal, dynamic, and stress analysis to support project goals.
• Document designs, tolerances, and specifications.
• Create 3D CAD and 2D drawings using Siemens NX and SolidWorks.
• Design assembly aids and fixtures and tools for testing or characterization.
• Prototype with 3D printing and manage rapid prototyping space.
• Develop test plans, execute tests, and report results.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines to meet project goals.
• Engage with external customers to maintain service and relationships.
• Follow data security and business policies.
