Job summary

Teledyne Controls LLC in El Segundo is seeking an Accountant to support the accounting team. The Accountant will prepare and maintain accurate financial records, statements, and other reports in accordance with procedural standards.

Key duties include chasing past-due invoices, documenting results, forecasting cash flow, and producing balance sheets and P&L reports to help managers assess the company's financial position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in related field and 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• US Person status required (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).

Responsibilities

• Contact customers about pending and past due invoices
• Document results and track progress
• Forecast and manage the cashflow weekly
• Analyze and report A/R related data semi-monthly
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts
• Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for managers
• Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
• Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
• Collect appropriate data and prepare federal, state and local reports and tax returns
• Serve as back-up for other accounting duties
• Support the preparation of year-end audit files and analysis
