Job summary

Life Time, Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to help adults and children improve their swimming skills in a dynamic club environment. You will assess swimming levels, teach life-saving techniques, and ensure a safe, clean pool area for members and guests.

Responsibilities include delivering swimming lessons and aquatic events, answering member questions, promoting Aquatics programs, and completing Life Time training courses upon hire. A HS diploma or GED progress is preferred.

Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire.
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

• Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge toStarGuardwhen current certification expires or within 1styear, whichever is first).For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
