Job summary

A leading wellness company in Phoenix is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to provide swimming lessons and promote aquatics programs. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean pool area and responding to member inquiries. Candidates should be working towards a High School diploma and have CPR and Lifeguard certifications within 60 days of hire. This role includes direct interaction with both adults and children, contributing to a safe environment for all swimmers.

Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard Certifications needed within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to routinely lift more than 20 lbs.

Overview

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Responsibilities

• Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events
• Responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
• Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area
• Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard Certifications (within 60 days of hire)
• Complete and pass all Life Time courses when hired
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely lift more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
