Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor in Mansfield, Texas. In this role, you will teach swimming to both adults and children and evaluate their swimming abilities.

Your responsibilities include conducting swim lessons, ensuring the cleanliness of the Aquatics facilities, and promoting programs. Required certifications include StarGuard Elite Lifeguard and CPR.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to pass Life Time courses upon hire.
• Ability to maintain pool area cleanliness and safety.
• Experience in swim lesson instruction or coaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swimming lessons and Aquatics events.
• Respond to member questions and concerns.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized pool area.
• Promote and sell Aquatics programs and services.

Overview

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Responsibilities

• Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events
• Responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
• Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area
• Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Minimum Education

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20 lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
