Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to teach swimming to both adults and children, evaluate abilities, and help maintain clean, safe Aquatics Facilities. You will promote programs and ensure a positive member experience.

Role requires delivering lessons, working in a fast-paced club environment, and completing Life Time training upon hire. Wages start at $16.00–$19.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Working toward a High School Diploma or GED
• Able to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Able to routinely bend to lift up to 20 lbs
• Able to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services
• Must successfully complete and pass Life Time courses upon hire

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events
• Responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
• Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area
• Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $16.00 and pays up to $19.00, based on experience and qualifications.
