Job summary

Life Time is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to help members enhance swimming skills in a dynamic club environment. You will teach both adults and children, evaluate swim levels, and reinforce life skills while maintaining Aquatics facilities.

You will respond to member questions, ensure a safe, clean pool area, and promote all Aquatics programs and services. Certification requirements and physical ability to swim and lift small loads are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Working toward a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and move about the club.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events
• Responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
• Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area
• Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
