The Town of Oro Valley is seeking a Lifeguard to oversee daily operations of the pools and aquatic facilities within Parks & Recreation. Under direction, you will supervise lifesaving staff, perform daily opening/closing tasks, monitor safety, and respond to emergencies with First Aid, CPR, and rescue techniques.

This role requires a High School diploma, one year lifeguard experience, and Red Cross certifications; oxygen admin cert is due within 90 days.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED required.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR and AED certifications required.
• Administering Emergency Oxygen certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year Lifeguard experience.

Aufgaben

• Ensures health and safety of employees and patrons.
• Performs routine water tests and adjusts pool chemicals as needed.
• Prepares pool and facility for opening/closing.
• Searches for and removes safety hazards.
• Maintains cleanliness of pool and facility.
• Supervises daily activities including scheduling, training, evaluating, and motivating staff.
• Maintains records and reports on daily attendance.
• Operates and maintains pool equipment including pump room.
• Provides customer service and addresses questions or concerns.
• Responds to emergencies with First Aid, CPR and Lifeguard techniques.
