Job summary

Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Campus is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator for the Keaau facility. The role leads the aquatic program, oversees water safety, schedules staff, and ensures health standards for all activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating swimming, diving, and water polo programs, managing the pool budget, teaching swim and lifeguarding, and ensuring compliance with school and state safety policies while maintaining pool facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience as pool manager or lifeguard supervisor.
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Lifeguard/WSI Certification.
• Certified Pool Operator Certificate or ability to obtain within first year.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience maintaining pool facilities.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, special events, and split shifts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate aquatic sports (swim, diving, water polo) and manage budget and equipment for the program.
• Lead daily pool schedule, supervise lifeguards, enforce safety rules, and maintain pool areas and equipment.
• Lead planning and supervision of the Aquatic Program and water safety personnel; arrange certifications as needed.
• Teach swim classes and lifeguarding.
• Oversee off-campus water activities KS programs island-wide; manage scheduling, staffing, safety, and policy compliance.
• Maintain pool chemistry, records, cleaning, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
