The YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking a lifeguard to monitor pools, decks, and surrounding areas, ensuring safety for children, families, and program participants. You will be a first responder, assist with emergencies, and help maintain safety equipment and rules in line with YMCA policies.
Responsibilities include water and deck supervision, open/close duties, and delivering friendly, safety-focused service while supporting a dynamic team.

Lifeguards need to have a keen eye for safety and set the tone for a safe environment for kids and families. They play a key role in supporting our safety standards - in the water and on the deck, as a first responder in emergencies, maintaining safety equipment, and serving on an engaged and dynamic team. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Hiring Range: $21.30 - $23.00/hour DOE
Pool, deck and surrounding areas are maintained ensuring safety for program participants.
All employees and volunteers are responsible for adhering to abuse prevention policies, maintaining appropriate boundaries, completing required training, reporting suspicious or inappropriate behavior, and complying with mandated reporting requirements.
Responsible for ensuring staff are properly screened, trained, supervised and held accountable to the organization’s abuse risk management standards.
Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
