Greater Somerset County YMCA is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to ensure safe pool operations, supervise deck activities, and support aquatics programming. The role involves maintaining safety protocols, assisting with swim lessons, and responding to emergencies in accordance with YMCA standards.
Ideal candidates will hold current lifeguard certification and CPR/AED/First Aid, and demonstrate strong customer service and teamwork in a community-focused environment.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, on the deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Accepts and demonstrates the Ys values. Demonstrates a desire to serve others and fulfill community needs. Recruits volunteers and builds effective, supportive working relationships with them. Supports fund-raising.
