Swim Instructor

Pay Range

$12.77 - $25.00 per hour, depending on class type, tenure, certifications, and experience. This role includes structured pay progression based on performance, specialty credentials, and demonstrated excellence in member engagement.

Objective

To instruct swim lessons and improve/develop swim skills for participants of all ages and abilities while delivering a safe, fun, and world-class aquatic experience.

Aquatic Manager (AM)

Criteria

• WSI (Water Safety Instructor) Certification
• Current CPR and AED Certification
• Proficient oral, written, and technology communication skills (email/text)

AFF Team Member Responsibilities

• Get & Keep Members by delivering exceptional service and fostering strong member relationships
• Perform duties in alignment with the company's Mission, Vision, Pillars of Success, Service Standards, and Business Philosophy
• Provide the highest quality customer service with a welcoming, friendly, energetic, and positive attitude; use members' names whenever possible
• Follow all Service Standards, Training Manuals, Policy Manuals, and department-specific handbooks

• Contribute to club and organizational goals as a collaborative team member

Swim Instructor

• Deliver safe, effective, and engaging swimming instruction aligned with company and industry standards
• Provide appropriate modifications and skill progressions based on participant level and class type
• Create a fun, energetic, and safe environment for all participants
• Actively promote swimming lessons, Masters Swim, and Flying Fish Swim Team programs
• Encourage renewals and continued participation through positive engagement and communication
