Overview

As a PRN Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a vital role across Trauma, Emergency General Surgery, and Burns services, delivering comprehensive, high-quality care to patients throughout their hospital journey.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient consultations and assessments
• Provide acute and ongoing inpatient management
• Serve as first assist in the operating room
• Support outpatient clinic care and follow-up
• Ensure continuity of care across the patient experience
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, APPs, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Education: Essential: Program Graduate; Education specialization: Advanced Nurse or Physician Assistant
• Experience: Essential: 1 year directly related experience; Nonessential: Bilingual abilities and specialization in applicable area (3 years directly related experience)
• Credentials: Essential: CPR for Healthcare/BLS; Advanced Practice RN or Physician Assistant Lic & NCCPA Cert; Pediatric Nursing Certification as applicable; ACLS or PALS (as applicable) within 30 days of hire; Prescriptive Authority from the State of New Mexico; State DEA Certification
• Physical Conditions: Medium work with typical weight-bearing requirements as described
• Working conditions: Hazardous materials and PPE requirements; notice periods for rehire eligibility; TB testing as required
