Job summary

UNLV Health seeks an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to deliver inpatient and outpatient hepatology/GI services as part of a multidisciplinary team in Las Vegas, NV. The role emphasizes independent clinical judgment, patient education and coordination of care across settings.

Qualifications include a master's degree in nursing or physician assistant program and Nevada APRN licensure or eligibility. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Work hours are full-time with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
• Nevada APRN license or eligibility prior to start date.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Works with physicians and interprofessional team to provide patient care across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Exercises independent clinical judgment in assessment, diagnosis and treatment when appropriate.
• Conducts health histories and physical exams and initiates emergency care as needed.
• Formulates diagnoses, identifies problems and communicates with care team.
• Orders/ interprets diagnostic studies in consultation with peers.
• Educates patients and families, supporting satisfaction and quality care.
• Maintains accountability to enhance patient experience through high-quality interactions.
• Interacts with patients and families with compassion and respect at all times.
• Participates in training of staff, students and residents as requested.

Education

Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master's degree

License in the State of Nevada as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or ability to be licensed prior to the start date

Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred
