Job summary

The University of Iowa seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse to support weight management care in a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic. You will manage a patient panel, collaborate with physicians, dietitians, and diabetes educators, and lead quality improvement efforts.

Ideal candidates hold an Iowa ARNP license and a Master’s degree in Nursing, with experience in weight management and diabetes care. Telehealth may be involved as part of the clinic.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; Nurse Practitioner with Iowa license and ARNP status.
• Experience in weight management, diabetes care, and endocrinology is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced practice care in weight management clinic as ARNP/PA.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including physicians, dieticians and educators.
• Develop care plans, educate patients, and coordinate referrals.
• Document assessments and participate in quality improvement activities.
