Job summary

The Neuropsychiatric Clinic Of Atla in Georgia seeks a part-time PMHNP transitioning to full-time to provide comprehensive psychiatric care. You will conduct evaluations, diagnose conditions, and create personalized treatment plans for diverse patients, with opportunities for telework and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities include prescribing meds, managing therapy plans, and performing crisis interventions as needed while coordinating with family and care teams.

Qualifications

• Active PMHNP license in Georgia
• Strong communication with diverse populations
• Experience in psychiatric/mental health settings preferred
• Bilingual abilities preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations including histories, risk assessments and diagnostic interviews.
• Diagnose mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, PTSD and ADHD.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
• Perform crisis intervention for patients with acute psychiatric symptoms or safety concerns.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, screenings) as appropriate.
• Conduct regular medication follow-ups and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Diagnose mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD, etc.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
• Perform crisis intervention for patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms or safety concerns.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, screenings) as appropriate for psychiatric care.
• Conduct regular medication follow-ups and adjust treatment plan as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the state of Georgia.
• Masters or Doctoral Degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP) from an accredited PMHNP program.
• Valid DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain), including authorization to prescribe controlled substances.
• Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in psychiatric or mental health setting.
• Experience working with diverse population, such as adolescents, adults, geriatric patients, or dual-diagnosis patients.
• Bilingual preferred.

Part time, Transition to full time.
