Aprio invites high-performing accounting students to apply for the 2028 Aprio Spring (January–April) Internship Program in the Dallas, TX office. This in-office internship provides hands-on client exposure, mentorship, and development in public accounting, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and professional growth.

Interns will work on assurance engagements, gain exposure to complex accounting and tax issues, and have the opportunity to collaborate with partners and managers while pursuing CPA

Qualifications

• Accounting major pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Minimum 3.3 GPA.
• On track to CPA eligibility with a plan to licensure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication; attention to detail.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assurance engagements.
• Support teams in evaluating controls and financial reporting processes.
• Analyze financial data and documentation to identify risks or improvements.
• Participate in testing procedures and audit documentation.

This internship is designed for students who are eager to contribute, take initiative, and gain meaningful exposure to public accounting. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, leadership potential, and a commitment to professional excellence. Applicants should be interested in pursuing a full-time career in public accounting, be on track to pursue their CPA license, and have a clear plan for completing the required coursework and examination process.

Interns at Aprio dive directly into hands-on client work, collaborating with experienced professionals while developing the technical and professional skills necessary for a successful career in public accounting.

Internship Requirements

• No classes are permitted during the duration of the internship period.
• Spring internships are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and standard business hours.
• This internship is designed as a fully in-office experience to maximize mentorship, collaboration, and real-time learning with our teams

Position Responsibilities

Audit Intern

• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with clients and team members
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
