Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen AppSec and AI Security across software lifecycles. You will integrate security into GitLab-based pipelines, review Terraform deployments, and help protect assets with WAFs while partnering with Java, Python, and Go teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT security and a Bachelor’s degree, with preferred AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT security professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree; in lieu of a degree, two additional years of relevant experience may be accepted.
• Experience with AppSec and AI Security concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and prioritize AppSec and AI Security risks and gaps in environments.
• Implement security controls within GitLab development workflows.
• Review Terraform configurations for security weaknesses and policy violations.
• Support WAF protections for internet-facing apps and APIs.
• Collaborate with teams in Java, Python, and Go to remediate findings.
• Conduct security assessments of apps, APIs, AI solutions, and data flows.
• Document requirements and risks with input from stakeholders.
