Your apprenticeship at Vestas – a strong start to your career!
Year 1:

You will start in our training workshop in Husum – metalworking/electrical engineering

Year2 & 3:

You will support our service teams throughout Germany at our wind turbines

Year 4:

Back in Husum, you will prepare for the final examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce(IHK)

During your apprenticeship, with real opportunities of permanent employment, you will learn about the profession of service technician and the wide range of tasks involved

Your training programme includes the installation, maintenance and repair of systems

You will learn about large component replacement, rotor blade repairs and many other topics

You will also learn how components are manufactured and tested, and how different materials are processed

Over the course of your apprenticeship, you will assist with the commissioning of wind turbines

Software programming and installation are also part of your apprenticeship

You are interested in mathematics and physics
