Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be physically capable of performing construction work

Preferred and Recommended Qualifications

• High School Trade preparatory classes
• Mathematics and/or Drafting classes
• Familiarity and exposure to construction

Welder Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently on the job and able to climb more than 300 feet.
• Must be able to pull own weight when climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding up to 150 feet.
• Excessive amounts of bending, stooping, carrying, pushing, and pulling weights up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations, a loud and dusty work environment, and be around high voltage electromagnetic fields. All the physical demands listed are essential functions.
