Job summary

Hendrick Automotive Group in Pleasanton, CA is seeking an Apprentice Technician to assist the Service Technician in identifying and performing vehicle service, repair, and maintenance. This entry-level position focuses on increasing knowledge, skills, and certifications to progress to a Service Technician.

You will support Masters and Team Leaders, document services, and maintain a clean work area while following safety rules and dealership guidelines.

East Bay BMWLocation: 4350 Rosewood Dr, Pleasanton, California 94588Summary: In a learning capacity the Apprentice Technician assists the Service Technician with identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work. In an entry level position, the Apprentice Technician is responsible for increasing knowledge, skills, and certifications to progress to a Service Technician.Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Assists Master/Service Technician or Team Leader with examining customer vehicles.Assists Master/Service Technician or Team Leader with identifying necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.Assists with estimating cost of repairs.Assists with performing vehicle repairs and maintenance.Documents services performed.Effectively utilizes available technologies to enhance customer experience.Learns how to performs services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines.Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.Assists Service Technician by requesting necessary parts.Maintains CSI at or above Company standardsMaintains an organized, clean and safe work areaParticipates in required trainingRecords all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping systemFollows Safeguards rules and regulations.Demonstrates the Company’s Core ValuesComplies with Company policies and proceduresObserves all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.Other duties as assignedQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
