This entry‑level role is designed for individuals who would like to join a plumbing apprenticeship program, with the goal of developing the knowledge and hands‑on skills needed to become a journey‑level plumber over a four‑year training period. As an Apprentice Plumber, you’ll receive a blend of classroom instruction and paid, on‑the‑job experience, giving you the opportunity to learn while contributing to meaningful work across campus. Under the guidance of experienced journey‑level plumbers, you will assist with day‑to‑day maintenance, installation, and repair tasks.
As your skills grow, so will your responsibilities.Apprentice plumbers at Auburn learn to work safely and effectively, follow the International Plumbing Code, and comply with all state and local regulations and standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and being part of a team that keeps campus facilities operating smoothly. In this role, you will: Develop foundational skills in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair. Learn to interpret and apply plumbing codes and safety practices.
