Job summary

Trillium Construction is seeking an Apprentice Pipefitter near Falmouth, MI. You will layout, fabricate, fit, and install piping systems per isometric and P&ID drawings, and read blueprints and welding maps for proper fit-up and routing.

You will perform HDPE pipe fusion/fitting, install supports, and align piping for welding, while coordinating with welders and other crafts. Safety, site checks, and QA/QC walkdowns are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Maximum 3 years of construction experience.
• Experience in refinery, LNG, RNG environments preferred.
• Experience with HDPE pipe fusion/fitting (PN/DR rated).
• Strong blueprint, isometric, and P&ID reading skills.
• Ability to pass site safety orientation, drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fabricate, fit, and install carbon steel, stainless steel, and HDPE piping per drawings.
• Read blueprints, isometrics, P&IDs and welding maps for fit-up.
• Perform HDPE pipe fusion/fitting per spec.
• Install pipe supports, hangers, and spool pieces to spec.
• Fit and align piping for welding, ensuring bevels and gaps.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts to fit pipe at elevation.
• Coordinate with welders, riggers, and other crafts to sequence installation.
• Provide pressure testing support, punch list, and QA/QC walkdowns.
• Follow safety procedures including confined space, hot work, LOTO in refinery/LNG/RNG environments.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and store materials properly.

Key Responsibilities

• Layout, fabricate, fit, and install carbon steel, stainless steel, and HDPE piping systems per isometric and P&ID drawings
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, P&IDs, and welding maps to determine proper fit-up and routing
• Perform HDPE pipe fusion/fitting work (PN/DR rated pipe) per spec
• Install pipe supports, hangers, and spool pieces to spec and tolerance
• Fit and align piping for welding, ensuring proper bevels, gaps, and root openings
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts to fit pipe at elevation
• Coordinate with welders, riggers, and other crafts to sequence pipe installation
• Perform pressure testing support, punch list, and QA/QC walkdowns as needed
• Follow all site-specific safety procedures, including confined space, hot work, and LOTO protocols common to refinery/LNG/RNG environments
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly handle/store materials

Pay: $43
Per Diem: $178 / day for all 7 days
Schedule: Mon - Sat, 60h / week

Qualifications
