Job summary

The New York Power Authority is seeking an apprentice for a position involving rotating 12-hour shiftwork at a hydroelectric power plant, under direct supervision in a trade-related role.

Education, Experience and Certifications
  • Must have a 2 year technical degree within a related technical discipline
  • AAS in Electrican Engineering preferred

Must be able to perform work throughout the campus of a hydroelectric power plant

Must be able to perform rotating 12 hour shift work

Hourly rates for union-represented employees are collectively bargained by the New York Power Authority and IBEW. The negotiated pay rate for this position is $37.64 per hour. A new hire may expect to earn between $85,000 - $100,000 in the 1st year inclusive of overtime and step increases
