You will learn from industry leaders, serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, maintain bar standards, train teammates, and engage guests with polished, table-side service. Starting rate is $16.0547 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• Fine-Dining service experience required.
• Experience working in a similar resort setting preferred.
• 5+ years of prior relevant experience in a bar or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Make, serve, and demonstrate knowledge of drinks.
• Maintain bar inventory and cleanliness; handle cash and daily reports.
• Provide training and mentoring to staff on bar function and guest service.

As a Apprentice Mixologist for The Corner Store at The Cosmopolitan, you will play an integral, high-energy role in launching our brand-new, trendsetting concept by transforming creative beverage artistry into spectacular guest experiences. You will hone your craft alongside world-class beverage leaders, rapidly building expertise in unique spirits, local craft beers, curated wines, and artisanal non-alcoholic selections while maintaining a pristine, meticulously organized bar environment that reflects our chic, modern aesthetic. By delivering warm, engaging tableside interactions and collaborating seamlessly with your service team to anticipate guest needs, your passion and enthusiasm will turn every creative pour and customized cocktail into an unforgettable, "WOW" moment at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.

THE STARTING RATE:

$16.0547 Hourly + Tips

The Day-to-day

• Make, serve, and demonstrate complex knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available, proportioning ingredients according to standardized.
• Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls and the cleanliness of the bar and equipment Account for poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork.
• Provide Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending.
• Demonstrate proficiency in food service, knowledge of menu, allergies, and other potential guest restrictions. This includes but is not limited to, proper marking, clearly, and table side service.
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
• Utilize special tools and culinary equipment to prepare items like fresh juice a la minute, infusions, molecular style cocktails, cutting ice, and production of presentations items.
• Maintain effective communication with management, bartenders, and lateral departments in order to fully accompany any guest or employee needs
• Utilize sales techniques in order to up sell food and beverage products available in the outlet while having a pristine dedication to refinery resulting in polished yet artistic cocktails, serving to elevate the guests’ experience

The Ideal Candidate

• Is 21+ years of age
• Fine-Dining Service experience required
• Experience working in a similar resort setting
• 5+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in a bar or similar environment required
• Wine, spirit, and beer knowledge preferred
