Laurens Electric Cooperative is seeking a motivated Apprentice Line Technician to join our team. This 4-5 year apprenticeship program is designed to develop the technical skills, safety knowledge, and hands-on experience required for a successful career as a Line Technician.

This position could be located at either of our Operations Centers in Laurens or Woodruff, SC, with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 7AM - 4PM plus on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an apprenticeship spanning 4 to 5 years with on-the-job training and progressive skill development.
• Earn wage increases as milestones are achieved and progress through defined levels based on performance and training.
• Complete Northwest Lineman College coursework paid for by the cooperative to support technical education and best practices.

Job description

Laurens Electric Cooperative is seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Line Technician to join our team. This position is part of a structured 4-5 year apprenticeship program designed to develop the technical skills, safety knowledge, and hands on experience required for a successful career as a Line Technician.

This position could be located at either of our Operations Centers:

Laurens Office North Office

2254 Highway 14 3297 Highway 417

Laurens, SC 29360 Woodruff, SC 29388

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7AM - 4PM plus on call rotations

Apprenticeship Program Overview:

• The apprenticeship spans 4 to 5 years
• Includes on-the-job training and progressive skill development
• Wage increases are provided as program milestones are achieved
• Apprentices advance through defined levels based on performance, training completion, and demonstrated competencies
• Apprentices will complete a self-led coursework program through Northwest Lineman College, paid for by the cooperative, supporting technical education and industry best practices

Compensation and Benefits -

Annual Pay - Entry: $47,840, CDL Permit: $48,942.40, CDL License: $50,044.80

This is an hourly, non-exempt role eligible for overtime
