United Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking an apprentice mechanic to join the maintenance team. You will perform basic mechanical tasks while learning to inspect, service, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment and vehicles under close supervision.

The role focuses on hands-on experience, safety, and skill development toward becoming a fully qualified mechanic. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and mechanical aptitude; one year of related experience is a plus.

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in pursuing a mechanical career.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.

Mansioni

• Assists mechanics in troubleshooting equipment issues and learns to identify mechanical problems.
• Helps dismantle equipment and components using hoists, hand tools and safety procedures.
• Support maintenance and repair activities on heavy equipment, trucks, shop tools, and non-mobile equipment.
• Performs basic service tasks such as oil changes, greasing, changing filters, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Learn and assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
