Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to begin a hands-on training path toward Journeyman Electrician. The role involves maintaining and repairing plant equipment, plus reading schematics and procedures.

You will contribute to safety and regulatory compliance while building foundational electrical skills in a dynamic power generation environment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preference for those possessing related tech certifications or an associate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level position; previous experience with electrical or mechanical systems is preferred.
• Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electricity, Electronic Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Construction and Maintenance, or Electrical/Mechanical Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair power plant equipment.
• Read procedures, schematics, and technical drawings; plan and execute work.
• Maintain maintenance records in Maximo work management system; ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety requirements.
