Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our team in Moriarty, NM. The Diesel Mechanic will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy‑duty trucks and trailers, providing accurate and efficient service within company standards.

Responsibilities include diagnostic testing, developing repair plans, and safely completing repairs. The role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and some holidays with emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Graduate of acceptable trade school or manufacturer’s technical school, or previous mechanic experience
• Willingness to expand professional knowledge via education and training programs
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays in interior and exterior conditions
• Investment in own tools
