Job summary

A stable transportation company in Greenwood, Indiana is seeking individuals to learn basic maintenance procedures in a supportive environment. You will assist senior technicians and develop skills in diagnosing and repairing equipment. The role requires a valid driver's license and fluency in English. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Learns to perform basic maintenance and part replacement procedures.
• Assist senior technicians when asked.
• Develop skills in the diagnosis and repair of all DFL tractor components.
• Learn to perform PM inspections and services effectively.
• Perform service calls and other maintenance duties.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment that complies with OSHA and company standards.
• Work with Parts Department to maintain necessary material levels.

Responsibilities

• Learns to perform basic maintenance and part replacement procedures by observing, assisting and asking questions
• Assist senior technicians when asked to do so
• Develop skills in the diagnosis and repair of all DFL tractor components
• Learn to effectively and efficiently perform PM inspections and services
• Perform service calls
• Perform other maintenance duties or assignments as necessary
• Be a leading participant in the care and upkeep of the shop, the grounds and all equipment and tools
• Maintain a clean, safe environment that complies to OSHA and company standards
• Proficient in recording all work and labor on a computer in the EMS system
• Work with Parts Department to assure that all necessary material, parts, service supplies and shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levels
• Works in compliance to EPA and DOT regulations and Company safety requirements
• Continuously improves processes

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance and repair in a Service Center and Shop environment. Duties may include standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, lifting, and using hand and power tools, with work performed independently or in team settings as appropriate.
