Job summary

STACK Infrastructure US is hiring an Apprentice Critical Operations Technician (ACOT) to support mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety tasks across STACK data centers in the United States. Under supervision, you will work with the Critical Operations Team to learn and perform essential plant operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, willingness to work outside normal hours, and ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Travel is expected at less than 5%.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical tasks on chilled water and HVAC systems under supervision.
• Assist with electrical/critical power distribution tasks from main switchgear to UPS and customer load.
• Monitor fire life safety systems and detectors.
• May travel to different STACK data centers as needed (<5%).

THE POSITION:

Positions will be available at any US STACK data center. Under the supervision of STACK Critical Operations Team Members: Mechanical responsibilities will include working on chilled water systems and components, HVAC systems such as roof top units, CRAC/CRAH units, humidification systems, fan wall systems, air-cooled chillers, and central plant operations. Electrical responsibilities will include working on electrical/critical power distribution from the Utility/Generator main switchgear through the UPS systems out to the customer load, UPS, PDU, and RPP cabinets. Fire Life Safety responsibilities will include monitoring wet sprinkler systems and pre-action sprinkler systems as well as their associated detection devices.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma, some college or a bachelor's degree
• Experience working with various Microsoft Office applications and other database housing software
• Ability to handle a multitude of tasks and work well in stressful situations.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, reach or feel objects, climb stairs, balance, stoop or kneel, talk, see at close range, and hear for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and on-call support.
• Must be comfortable working in a high stress, fast paced environment with shifting priorities.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Compensation Range: $34.00 - $35.50
