Casey Auto Group is seeking an Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team in Newport News, VA. This role offers a tuition-free path to become a skilled technician and the potential for a six-figure income as experience grows.

You’ll learn under seasoned professionals in a supportive, fast-paced shop environment. Responsibilities include general vehicle maintenance, diagnostic testing, and assisting senior technicians.

Qualifications

• Must have formal education in automotive technology and/or some professional technician experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Deep understanding of automobiles and rapid diagnostic abilities
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to learn from experienced technicians
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Great attitude, work ethic, and attendance
• Must have basic hand tools

Responsibilities

• Perform general vehicle maintenance
• Work alongside experienced Technicians
• Learn to test systems and components to ensure proper operation
• Identify systems or components that may have caused problems
• Drive vehicles for testing and inspect/refill fluids
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of failure
• Use power tools, machine tools and hand tools to perform tasks
