Job summary

Midas is seeking automotive technicians for a full-time on-site position at our San Francisco area facility. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across a range of vehicle systems, with independence and teamwork as needed.

You'll work with state-of-the-art computer systems, brakes, suspension, heating/cooling, and engine diagnostics, using shop equipment. Saturday shifts required; a valid driver's license and own tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires & engine diagnostics.
• Track record of high personal productivity.

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, including:

• Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
• Tires and brake repairs.
• Car heating and air conditioning diagnosis and replacement.
• Steering and suspension replacement
• Belts and hoses
• Radiator and engine cooling systems
• Batteries, starting and charging
• Steering and suspension

Qualifications

• Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools
• Provincial Certificate of Qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools/equipment (some diagnostic tools preferred also)
• Able to service both import and domestic vehicles
• Must be willing to work on Saturday
