Job summary

Hendrick Automotive Group is seeking an Apprentice Technician to support the service team in identifying required repairs and performing maintenance on customer vehicles. This entry-level role emphasizes learning and development to progress toward becoming a Service Technician.

The apprentice will work under a Master/Service Technician, gain technical training, and document all services performed while adhering to dealership guidelines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
• Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
• Technical training or commensurate technical experience.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists Master/Service Technician with examining customer vehicles.
• Assists with identifying necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Assists with estimating cost of repairs.
• Assists with performing vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Documents services performed.
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
