The City of Pewaukee is seeking a full-time Appraiser to value personal and real property for the City Assessment Roll, in accordance with Wisconsin statutes. The position emphasizes mass appraisal methods and accurate property records.
Qualified applicants will have an Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business, Mathematics or related field; two or more years in assessment or real estate; certification as an Assessor I or II; a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and insurance.
The City of Pewaukee has an opening for a full-time Appraiser. The pay rate is $27.10 - $33.54 per hour depending upon experience and qualifications with a generous benefits package.
The Appraiser is responsible for technical and professional work appraising personal property, improved and unimproved real property to determine the assessed value to be entered upon the City Assessment Roll in compliance with Wisconsin State Statutes, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the City Assessor and Senior Deputy Assessor.

Qualified applicants will have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Business, Mathematic or other related field; two or more years of experience in the assessment, appraisal, or real estate field; certification as an Assessor I or II by the State of Wisconsin Department of Revenue; a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and personal motor vehicle insurance. A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities will also be considered.
