Job summary

Performance Edge is seeking an Applied Sport Scientist to support player development, readiness, and performance by coordinating sport science testing, workload monitoring, data management, and reporting across the Arizona complex and affiliate locations.

The role translates performance data into actionable information for Strength and Conditioning, coaching, medical, and biomechanics staff to support training decisions and workload management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Applied experience in sport science, strength and conditioning, or performance science with athletes; baseball experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of workload monitoring, testing, readiness, and profiling.
• Experience with athlete monitoring systems and performance tech.
• Ability to translate data into actionable information and communicate with multi-disciplinary staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workload monitoring and physical performance testing across multiple facilities.
• Maintain AMS data, dashboards, and data integration for reporting.
• Develop/testing protocols and education resources for staff onboarding.
• Support seasonal performance profiling and benchmarking to inform player development.
• Collaborate with performance, coaching, medical, and biomechanics staff to apply data in daily operations.
• Assist affiliate and international sport science initiatives and troubleshooting.
