Amazon's Sponsored Products Global Optimization team is seeking an Applied Scientist II to design agentic architectures, develop tools and datasets, and build systems that can reason, plan, and act autonomously across advertiser workflows at global scale.

You will advance agent ecosystems by experimenting with tool orchestration, multi-step reasoning, and adaptive preference-driven behavior, collaborating with scientists, engineers, and product managers to bring innovations into production.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree with 4+ years in CS/ML.
• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agents that improve advertiser experiences globally.
• Design and implement optimization techniques for models and agents at global scale.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to bring scientific innovations into production.
• Stay current with LLMs, RL research and translate findings into practical applications.
