Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Applied Scientist to own hands-on ML work for Prime Video search. You will build and guide models from ground up, collaborating with engineers and PMs to deploy end-to-end AI solutions across products.

The role emphasizes research leadership, experimentation, and publishing findings to advance state-of-the-art in video search and recommendations at scale.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s with 4+ years in CS, CE, ML or related field.
• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI solutions for Prime Video Search using deep learning, GenAI, RL and optimization methods.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to design, implement and launch AI solutions end-to-end.
• Design offline and online experiments to evaluate proposed solutions based on data analyses.
• Communicate technical and non-technical ideas with teammates and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements and the latest modeling techniques in the field.
• Publish research findings in top conferences and journals.
