Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle is seeking an Applied Scientist to join the DESA team and build production-grade models, experiments, and signals that close measurement gaps. You will own problems end-to-end—from framing research questions to deployment and A/B testing—working with data engineers and a business insights partner to deliver impact.

You will design causal attribution, content intelligence signals, and ranking features, ensuring production readiness and measurable ROI for brand

Qualifications

• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• PhD or Master with 4+ years CS/CE/ML experience.
• Experience with Java, C++, Python and ML frameworks.
• Experience with A/B testing and large-scale systems.
• Familiarity with causal inference methods.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy causal attribution models and experiments.
• Build brand lifecycle and campaign optimization models.
• Design and run A/B experiments with proper methodology.
• Develop multimodal content intelligence signals at scale.
• Create ranking and personalization features for downstream systems.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle from research to production deployment.
• Present findings to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
